Our inspirations

At Atelier Arbor, every piece of furniture begins well before the workshop.
It originates from a way of living, receiving, and taking time.

We don't create furniture to fill rooms, but to accompany moments in life: meals that stretch on, sincere conversations, everyday gestures that become memories.

Matter as a starting point

Solid wood is at the heart of our approach. We love it for what it is, with its knots, variations and natural markings. For us, imperfection is not a flaw: it is what makes each piece unique, alive and profoundly human.

When possible, we source trees from our neighboring land. The wood is then sawn near the workshop. then dried patiently: first in the air, then in our homemade solar dryer . This slow pace is part of our signature.

Time as an ally

Creating a durable piece of furniture takes time: time to think, to make, to let the material express itself. We reject quick production and easy solutions. Every project is designed to last for years — and, ideally, generations.

The art of entertaining

We are deeply epicurean. For us, a table is much more than an object: it is the heart of the home. It's around this table that we share a meal, a drink, a story. Our furniture is designed to support these simple, yet essential moments.

A family story

Atelier Arbor is a family adventure. We create together, we learn together, and we grow with each project. This human dimension is felt in the way we welcome, listen and advise.

We are also fortunate to be accompanied by Daniel, Kathleen's father, a cabinetmaker for over 40 years . His perspective, methods, and high standards are a valuable mentorship that pushes us to do better, piece by piece.

A signature style that stands by its word.

Each piece of furniture signed Atelier Arbor bears a brass plaque, like a signature. Not to mark ownership, but to affirm a responsibility: that of creating something lasting, sincere and timeless.
